four!

grandma and grandpa roberts surprised hyrum and came out for his birthday! it was so fun to have someone to celebrate it with! josh had to go to work before the the grandparents came so we had a pre-dinner party with dad. i tried to get a good picture with him but he was really sleepy!

hyrum was so excited to get this motorcycle.. and loved it! it has little support wheels that allow it to pop wheelies! which is cool right? well caden decided to name them "training wheels" and it quickly became ty's motorcycle! stinking kids!

the chambers came out the following weekend. it was fun we opened presents. then packed a dinner and had a picnic at the park. it was really fun! the boys loved having their aunts, uncle and grandma sleepover! i didn't get very many pictures.. sorry.

i am happy to say that hyrum has stopped asking for birthday presents! although he did chastise amber for not making it to his birthday party!

hyrum loves going to preschool! he is always so happy when i pick him up! and he loves telling/showing what he learned. he loves mrs. kirsten (he even told her!) and has learned so much. he is writing his name, and he works on his "homework" while caden does his. while he loves school, he misses playing with his brothers just as much. hyrum always asks ty if he had fun at the rec center, or if caden had a good day.

hyrum loves his family. he is always asking if he can see josh (whether or not josh is sleeping.) he loves calling his grandma's and aunts! he always want to talk to them, especially if he is sad. hyrum is such a good brother! he talks to ty as a grown up would, giving him choices, and calling him sweety! he certainly has an attitude, but he is quick to forgive and always gives hugs and kisses!

about the end of august josh's family came to visit. it was so nice to have company and to get a break from summer routine! the boys were so happy to see these their aunts and grandma! these first few pictures are such cute pictures! such happy boys, they have really missed not being able to go to grandma's house whenever they wanted!

we went swimming at the rec center, and then went to see the Vernal Temple grounds after. i just love what the pool does for my hair! nonetheless, it was fun to walk around the temple, and to see the flowers. it was such a beautiful day!

moon lake and the "picture hike"

so instead of heading up to yellowstone for our traditional roberts labor day camping trip. my parents and brother headed toward vernal. josh was working, but i took the boys and headed out to moon lake. it was great! the boys love camping, and had been asking if we could go for a long time. it was so nice to spend time with grandma, grandpa, and adam. we took lots of moon lake walks, and the boys made friends with the neighbors. adam was an awesome helper making it a mostly relaxing trip! we had great food, (thanks mom!) great skipbo, and a great hike.

we drove out to vernal to see the petroglyphs in dry fork canyon. it was incredible! it was so stinkin' hot! but the boys didn't even complain. they were as intersted in the drawings as the grown ups were! it was hyrum's favorite part of the trip, and kept asking if we could go back. we saw a couple of lizards as well. i forgot my camera, but adam was able to take pics with his phone. i am so glad, i love the pics!

kindergarten... finally

caden's first day. it was great all around. we met his "best buddy" brennen. he was able to ride the bus. and he finally wasn't bored anymore! this picture was taken after we were waiting at the bus stop. i forgot all about first day pictures, so i made caden run home really fast so we could take one. he was not at all pleased with me for making him run back home.. so just imagine he is beaming!

hyrum and ty were so cute! they were sad to see caden go. but they were so excited for him to come home! it has been fun having caden go to kindergarten, but it just makes me feel so darn old!

caden has done awesome in school. he is reading like a champ, and loves it. his teacher is mrs. perez and she is wonderful! well, atleast her discipline technique has worked like a charm. caden told me when the first kid in class got into trouble (and it wasn't him!) i am so proud of him! for all the trouble and issues we had in preschool, i am so thankful that things are different, and for his teacher!

he has been hanging his favorite art projects on his wall above his bed. i think it is so cute, and the perfect decorating touch! he loves going to computers, the library, and "this thing called p.e.!" he has really adapted well to vernal, and seems to have grown up a lot the last few months. he is such a great helper! he loves babies and tells me that we need to have a sister! i am greatful for the chance to help raise him!

and i just have to add.. whenever i say "caden" he always replies "whaten" :)

josh's adventure

josh has a work buddy who is a dealer for power parachutes. josh dragged me out to his place in idaho so he could go for a ride. he loved it, and is ready to buy one... is anyone surprised?

on one of josh's day off we finally were able to go to the dinosaur museum. the boys had been asking to go since we moved to good ol' vernal. they loved it! they even sat through the paleontology movie, which was quite surprising. i wish we could taken more time at the exhibits.. but not when entertaining three boys. it was really interesting, lots of fun facts inside. and life size exhibits outside. i tried to get a good picture, but ty was so grumpy, and they wouldn't get close enough. oh well!

we are officially dinosaur experts, so any of you who would like a tour of the museum, come on out for a visit. the boys would love to show you around!

so a long time ago...

ty turned 2. we didn't do a whole lot for ty's birthday. josh was on the road somewhere, so that put a damper on things. but we had fun celebrating with the chambers family.
