A Lion, A Ninja, A Racecar Driver, and Spiderman!

Kiddo's Ready for the Trunk or Treat!

Ty, Jace, Hyrum, Caden

So.. the camera on my phone is the only camera I have these days. And everything looked so dark and shadowy! So I made the kids face the sun... and these just make me smile!

Ty.. with a stick!

Caden. Soo happy!

Cole.. the white Ninja! (aka Hyrum)

Haha.. me as a bald clown... and Jace!

As a kid I always loved Halloween. As a mom, I want my kids to love it too! But I am afraid that this year was a complete Halloween fail! My favorite tradition was getting popcorn balls from Grandma Buck. I fully intended to make these wonderful popcorn balls. But between babysitting and helping with Hyrum's party (which I didn't even get pictures of), it just didn't happen. Then, Josh ended up having to work late, so he didn't even make it to the Trunk or Treat. Let alone even see the kids in their costumes! But the clincher, my friends, is I lost my keys!
Well, technically, Ty took them out of my pocket, and then became lost! :) I didn't even realize til we had visited all the trunks. We were all in the car, ready to go, then...
OH CRAP!

In a nutshell, my vehicle has had an extended stay at the Stake Center Resort! Then, had an all expense paid cruise to Ogden, via Josh's truck and a U-Haul trailer!

For. the. LOVE!

.. the lazy hazy crazy days of summer ..

I know I am months behind.. So here are some tidbits.

July 4th Parade.
Super long, but the boys loved it! Lots of BIG, cool,
and incredibly loud trucks from the oil field!
Hyrum and Caden.

Hyrum - distracted. Caded - looking soo grown up. Ty - mad I am taking his picture. :)

Mini Yard Sale (June)

Ty wouldn't look so I took one of just him!  Haha!

Crayon Rocks (June)
Pinterest craft.. the boys loved.
You heat rocks in the oven. Then you "color" them with crayons.
The crayons just melt. Pretty cool!

First Snow

We didn't get very much, but it was PLENTY for me!

The boys could hardly wait for Jace to wake up so I could get their snow gear out of his room. Once he was up, they bundled up and headed out!

Jacer, I wish you could have heard him.
He was just talk, talk, talking to them while they played outside!

Hyrum and Ty throwing snowballs at Jace! Soo much laughter!

See the joy?

Jace reaching for the snow on the screen.

Where was Caden you might ask? In his room reading. He did eventually make it outside, but I think he finished the book first! :)

Now if only I didn't have to worry about dripping wet gloves and snow pants.. let alone the wet floors!
Oh the joys!

Fantasy Canyon with Ann and Jody

Jump to June.

Josh's aunt Ann, and her partner Jody, came out to visit. We had a splendid time! The boys love spending time with Ann and Jody, and are usually pretty spoiled. Josh took us to explore Fantasy Canyon. I think he planned this just so he could show Ann "the patch". I am not sure why it is called "the patch", but that is what the locals call the massive area where the natural gas and oil wells are located. While Josh was working for Savage he was "out in the patch". :) Anyways, back to Fantasy Canyon. It is very small, but was pretty amazing. It probably would've been more amazing if it weren't so blasted hot! But, we had fun despite the heat.

Jody and the boys.

Josh and Jace. I can't remember what this formation was called.
But it reminds me of the alien on MIB. :)

More of Ann and the boys.

The whole "canyon". It really isn't at big as it looks. Love the sky!

Attempt at family picture. Can you see how we are melting?

I didn't get pictures from the rest of the visit. But Ann & Jody took us out on the town! They took us to a local restaurant  and bought boys toys from the gift shop, and supplied us with ice cream.

At dinner, I think we actually scared Ann and Jody away, and they won't be out for a long time! Ty was just recovering from a flu bug, and then I think he got heat exhaustion from our Fantasy adventure. So while we were at dinner, he kept having to run to the restroom because he was nauseous. Jace was fussy and tired.. not a good combination while out to eat! The boys were really well behaved, but it was just a little chaotic! Luckily Ty didn't actually do the deed until we were in the parking lot.. which I was soo happy about! And I think Jody as well!

The next day we loaded up trusty Rapid and headed to the local arena. Ann reminisced about Grandpa Laurel and her younger days when she rode horses. She actually surprised us all and took Rapid for a ride. It was a grand time! The boys played amazingly well, trying to trap each other in the rodeo pens. Jody, always on the look out for animals, expressed her concern with Rapid and the heat! :) And I got to ride for the first time in a while! It was very fun! Oh and have I mentioned that I love watching my Cowboy ride!

It was a great weekend! Thanks for the visit Ann and Jody!

First Fall Leaves

While coming home from Ogden, sometime in September, Josh decided to stop and get some fall leaves. It was beautiful. The leaves were just starting to turn. The boys had fun!

Ty and Hyrum {and Josh's legs :)}

Caden and his small collection :)

Ty and Hyrum climbing the steep terrain to get to the tree!
Despite their great effort, they didn't make it.

Josh and the boys... well some of them. Ty was done with
pictures, and Jace stayed in the car.

Then Josh demanded he get a picture of me.. so here is my cheesy pose!

Now I am showing some attitude!
I really like the road and trees in this shot!

It was a fun little adventure. Always nice for a break during our long drive! We caught our first wiff of Autumn air {and I don't mean the dead sheep}! I tried to get the boys to recognize the smell.. but they just seemed confused by it all.
"What are you smelling?"
Josh cut me some branches with beautiful gold and magenta colored leaves. I have kept them in a mason jar, and add the perfect touch of fall to my infamously clean home! :)

school 2012

Caden

Caden was ready to start school probably back in July. He is funny that way. (Though I have a sneaking suspicion that I was like that too!) Caden's teacher is Mrs. Nelson. I am excited for him to have her as a teacher. She actually was in our ward when we first moved to Vernal. She is a very sweet woman, and I am sure Caden is just going to love her! Crossing my fingers we have a GREAT year!

Hyrum

Hyrum has been waiting to go to Kindergarten since the day he turned 5... 11 months ago! He is super excited (if you can't tell)!! He has been so brave and doesn't seem at all anxious. He has admitted to being a little nervous, but I think that will wear off very quickly! Hyrum's teacher is Miss Marines! She seems super cute and fun! I think they will get along famously!

Ty

Ty finally gets to start school today! He even let me take several pictures! What a shock! :) Ty is going back to Mrs. Kirsten's Preschool and he is super excited. He is a little sad Hyrum won't be there with him. But I think he will enjoy making his own friends this time around!
